El Grande Americano suffers nasty injury at WWE Money in the Bank
El Grande Americano competed in this year's WWE Money in the Bank and in the Men's Ladder Match. However, he suffered an injury during the bout.
The masked superstar has proven himself to be a controversial figure in WWE since his arrival in the company. Many fans and critics think he's Chad Gable behind a mask and often compare their similarities. Michael Cole can also be heard often calling him Gable during his matches. Despite this, El Grande earned his chance to compete in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. While Chad Gable competed against El Hijo Del Vikingo earlier in the night at Worlds Collide.
Given the nature of the MITB Ladder Match, El Grande seemingly suffered an injury during the bout and was not seen on TV for a while. When he re-emerged on the cameras, a large laceration could be seen on his back. However, the exact point when the WWE star got hurt during the match is not known as of this writing, but it looks like he was well enough to continue.
It will be interesting to see whether this injury will play a role in keeping El Grande Americano from winning the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
