WWE star Stephanie Vaquer garnered a lot of praise from fans and veterans alike for her performances this weekend. Chief Content Officer Triple H was the latest to join the bandwagon in praising the 32-year-old star.
La Primera put in a lot of work this weekend, competing in three matches within 24 hours. The star first competed in a tag team match at SmackDown this Friday night. She then teamed up again with Lola Vice at Worlds Collide, defeating Chik Tormenta and Dalys. The star finally showed up and gave it her all in a gruelling ladder match at Money in the Bank, completing the trifecta of matches.
During the post-Money in the Bank press conference, Triple H praised some of the stars who were thriving in WWE's hectic schedule. He specifically praised Vaquer for her tenacity and sheer determination to perform in the ring. The Game recalled the time when he was competing and trying to make a name for himself, ready to have as many matches as needed to get over.
"Some talent had to pull double duty today. Talent that we're not used to seeing. Octagon Jr. working twice, Stephanie Vaquer working three times in the last 24 hours, I think, and them just loving it. It takes me back to a time at that point in my career. You know, you're trying to make a name for yourself and you'll do this ten times a day if they'll let you." [From 44:20 onwards]
Despite putting on a stellar performance at Money in the Bank, Stephanie Vaquer could not grab the coveted briefcase. However, this weekend has proved that La Primera has what it takes to be at the top of the mountain.
It will be interesting to see how WWE uses her moving forward.
