R-Truth made a shocking return to WWE at Money in the Bank. He recently took to social media to clear the air on whether his departure was a work.

On June 1, the wrestling veteran announced on X that he had been released from the Stamford-based company, bringing an end to his 17-year tenure. It was later reported that WWE chose not to renew his contract, meaning he would depart once his deal expired.

The news sent shockwaves across the internet, and the company’s decision to let go of the former United States Champion was met with widespread backlash. Throughout this week’s RAW, NXT, SmackDown, and Money in the Bank, fans repeatedly chanted "We want Truth!'"

The higher-ups listened and gave the people what they wanted, as R-Truth is now back in WWE after making an unexpected appearance at Money in the Bank. After a fan shared a clip of Truth's return on X and wrote that everyone got worked, the WWE star responded to the post and shed light on the matter:

"No work," he wrote.

R-Truth has now confirmed that his departure was not a work. In the post-show press conference, Triple H claimed that it was all part of the show, but the multi-time 24/7 Champion's response on X suggests otherwise.
