Money in the Bank 2025 was a fun show, as these premium live events usually are. It was predictably carried by the two ladder matches, but that wasn't all.
Quite a lot happened, from title changes to shocking betrayals. But what is the truth about Money in the Bank? Here are the biggest positives and negatives from tonight's show.
There was a fear that once Becky Lynch won the Women's Intercontinental Championship, Lyra Valkyria would be pushed to the wayside. That couldn't be further from the truth. While she was forced to raise The Man's hand and put the belt around her waist, the former champion had the last laugh.
Valkyria did well against Lynch at Money in the Bank, with their match nearly as good as their epic encounter at Backlash. So, the prospect of another rematch is exciting. We should get it at Evolution, which needs to be treated as a major deal.
Whether Lyra Valkyria regains the Intercontinental Title from Becky Lynch is another question, though. The Man will look to elevate it further for the duration of her reign.
On the surface, R-Truth's return to WWE is the biggest positive from Money in the Bank. He has been brought back by the company just days after being let go, with public backlash being cited as the main reason for this.
Truth interfered in the main event and attacked John Cena, who was teaming with Logan Paul. This allowed Cody Rhodes to pin The Last Real Champion, potentially setting up their rematch from WrestleMania 41. There's just one question, though. Where does R-Truth fit into the picture?
He's already had his match with Cena and lost convincingly. With limited dates and a bunch of dream opponents to get through, it is difficult to see how Truth's feud with his (former?) childhood hero will continue.
You're LA Knight. You qualify for Money in the Bank for the third year in a row. You were the most over babyface in the match for the previous two years, with most WWE fans wanting you to win. The show is in Los Angeles this year, and everyone is rooting for you. Third time's the charm, right?
Wrong!
For some reason, WWE has once again ignored Knight in the conversation of creating new main eventers based on fan reactions. Seth Rollins is a solid choice to win Money in the Bank, and the possibilities are exciting, but this may have been The Megastar's last chance to reach the top.
As of now, it looks like LA Knight will never win a world title in WWE. That may just be an unfortunate fact of life.
Despite LA Knight's defeat, the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match was incredible. The highlight was undoubtedly Jacob Fatu saying that he hates Solo Sikoa, before destroying him. This might be the end of his version of The Bloodline once and for all. What a moment!
As for the women's match, a Fatu stole the show here as well. And it was even better. Naomi has been overdue for a main event push for multiple reasons.
She has been consistent in the ring since returning to WWE last January, with several memorable matches as a babyface. Following her heel turn, Naomi has evolved as a character. Her stellar promo work made this possible, along with the promise she has shown as a villain.
Naomi will step up even more, and now she has a golden ticket, so there's only one thing every Women's Champion in WWE can do: Proceed with caution!
