WWE is reportedly going to make a major change to Mariah May's presentation in the company. The former AEW star debuted for the promotion during this past Tuesday's edition of NXT.

May became very popular during her time in All Elite Wrestling and had a memorable rivalry against AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm. She debuted during NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne's promo this past Tuesday night and got a great reaction from the crowd upon her arrival.

According to a report from PWInsider, the promotion will be changing Mariah May's ring name so that they can trademark and own it moving forward.

The 26-year-old is a former AEW Women's World Champion, and her last match in the promotion was a loss to Toni Storm at Revolution 2025. Ricky Saints used to be known as Ricky Starks in All Elite Wrestling but was given a new ring name after joining the promotion earlier this year.

Former WWE star makes bold prediction about Mariah May's career

Wrestling veteran Matt Hardy recently suggested that Mariah May could be a cornerstone in WWE's women's division for many years to come.

The legendary Hardys spent some time in All Elite Wrestling as well but exited the company last year. Speaking on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the veteran suggested that May had a bright future in WWE.

He noted that the former champion had worked hard to be in this position and suggested that she was going to be very successful in the company's women's division.

"She worked hard in Japan, she got herself over, she came to AEW, she did some amazing, compelling, super entertaining TV. It's a win, man. I think she's gonna do great in NXT. I think she'll end up moving up to the main roster and she'll do great there, and I think for years to come she'll be a staple in WWE's women's division." [8:37 – 8:53]
