A WWE NXT Superstar has returned to the squared ring after being betrayed and kicked out of a faction earlier this month. He secured a big win in a singles match against Jamar Hampton, who has emerged as one of the most promising talents at the WWE Performance Center.

Brooks Jensen made his return at an NXT live event on June 14 and faced Jamar Hampton in a winning effort. Jensen was previously a member of The Culling along with Shawn Spears. The former NXT UK Tag Team Champion first got help from Spears during a no-disqualification match against Josh Briggs.

Jensen turned heel for the first time in his career and acknowledged Spears as his mentor on the following episode of NXT. As a member of The Culling, he also defeated Ashante "Thee" Adonis in a singles match. Jensen and Spears later added Izzi Dame and Niko Vance to their gang.

In a shocking turn of events, Brooks Jensen was betrayed as Dame hit him on his back with a steel chair on May 27. He was officially kicked out of the stable on June 3, 2025. Many people were surprised when Jensen was suddenly forced to leave the faction, especially considering how closely he had been associated with Shawn Spears in recent months.

Throughout his run with the faction, there were no clear signs that a split was coming, which left fans wondering why it happened and what it meant for his future. There was a lot of speculation about whether Jensen would remain on NXT. However, the upstart is already back in the ring, as reported by WrestleTalk.

The Culling in WWE

Shawn Spears started a storyline and created a stable named The Culling with Brooks Jensen. The Chairman won the NXT North American Championship as a member of the group. He went on to lose the title to Ricky Saints on NXT despite interference from The Culling, which ended his reign after 28 days.

The Culling is now performing in WWE without Jensen. Spears and his team member, Niko Vance, defeated Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura in a tag team match on June 10, 2025.
