WWE has made some controversial calls under the TKO umbrella, but the recent re-hiring of R-Truth within days of his release restored fans' faith in the company.

However, a wrestling veteran doesn't think the former 24/7 Champion is here to stay for much longer.

R-Truth returned at Money in the Bank and picked up right where he left off, taking out John Cena. On a recent episode of RAW, the 53-year-old legend cut his braids off and reintroduced himself as Ron Killings, dropping his R-Truth gimmick in the process.

Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show, former WWE Senior Director of International Television Tommy Carlucci heaped praise on R-Truth's character work and said he is going to get a big push.

"Ron Killings invented himself. One of the best things that happened, we mentioned this Monday, was his entrance. He bullguarded, jumped over the railing, came onto the announce desk. It wasn't a regular music entrance, and then with people going on, I loved the way he did it. His promo was incredible. He's going to reinvent himself. He's going to get a big push."

He also felt Ron Killings could play a pivotal role in helping John Cena turn babyface.

Carlucci sees Killings winning the 2026 Royal Rumble and wrapping up his WWE run after WrestleMania 42.

"Maybe he will be a big part of John Cena turning back to babyface, just talking to him and doing stuff. But, you know, actually, Coach, I can see him winning the Royal Rumble. Yes, I could see that happening. Yes, I think he is [Going to stick around till 2026].. I think his last hurrah will be WrestleMania, and maybe he’s out by then. But they’re gonna jump on him big time right now. He’s hot." (From 48:18 to 49:09)

What's next for Ron Killings (aka R-Truth) in WWE?

Ron Killings has been looking to get some revenge after losing to John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event.

After ambushing The Cenation Leader once again on SmackDown last week, he finally got what he wanted.

R-Truth will face John Cena in a non-title match on SmackDown next week.

Cena has a lot on his plate right now. He is also scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk at Night of Champions on June 28.

Will The Franchise Player be 100% heading into his upcoming title defense? Only time will tell.
