Veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently raised questions on WWE's booking of Jey Uso. The star is the current World Heavyweight Champion on RAW.
Uso has been a fighting champion since winning the title at WrestleMania against Gunther. However, the title will once again be on the line this Monday on RAW as he gears up to face The Ring General in a highly anticipated rematch.
This week on The Wrestling Time Machine with host Mac Davis, Apter detailed that Uso has been battered over the last few weeks. He noted that the champ was constantly under attack from Seth Rollins and his henchmen, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The veteran journalist questioned if this was WWE's subtle way of telling the fans that Gunther might dethrone him on RAW this week.
"Have you noticed that World Champion Jey Uso is getting the tar beaten out of him? He's getting attacked regularly. Do you think Gunther is going to beat Jey Uso for the title? I think there's so much going on with Jey Uso, being attacked so much. They're acting like he's an underdog right now, and I just wonder if they're gonna put that belt back on Gunther." Uso took another terrible beating at Money in the Bank this week. He was in a tag team match, teaming up with Cody Rhodes against Logan Paul and John Cena. It will be interesting to see if the star shows up at hundred percent for his title defense this Monday on RAW.
