Seth Rollins walked out of the Intuit Dome with the Money in the Bank briefcase. The Visionary has been on fire since he joined forces with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and most recently, Bronson Reed. Rollins will be on RAW tonight and will celebrate becoming a two-time Mr. Money in the Bank.
However, the celebration might turn chaotic as a 46-year-old legend could steal the briefcase, recreating an iconic moment from the past.
Rollins' arch-rival, CM Punk, who vowed last week on RAW that the 'Summer of Punk' was back, could steal the briefcase from Rollins.
The Second City Saint might exact his revenge this week. In a shocking turn of events, CM Punk could ambush Seth Rollins from behind and steal his Money in the Bank briefcase, and could blow a flying kiss at him from the crowd, recreating his iconic 2011 moment where he stole the WWE Title and ran away through the crowd. Only this time, it would be with his rival's newly-won MITB briefcase.
Moreover, this won’t be the first time that Seth Rollins’ MITB case could be stolen.
In 2014, Rollins won the contract for the first time while feuding with Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe once stole his briefcase, creating some fun segments which included taking it to house shows and airports. He ultimately returned it to Seth, but pranked him with slime.
Punk recreating this moment would add an extra layer of excitement to their long-standing feud, as it needs some freshness, having dragged on for months now.
The aforementioned scenario is speculative, and nothing has been confirmed.
Ex-WWE employee Jonathan Coachman shared his views on LA Knight losing the chance to win the MITB briefcase for the third time in a row.
The 51-year-old tweeted and shared his thoughts. Moreover, he pitched the idea of The Megastar joining Seth Rollins’ heel crew on Monday Night RAW.
"If I didn’t feel so strongly that the WWE needs a faction again I would be more pro LA Knight to win the MITB. But I love dominant factions. Always have. So I am wanting to see where this goes and who they add to it. To be honest, we’ve been discussing who could be the fourth member of that group and if you say the name, LA Knight, I wouldn’t hate it. You’ve got two enforcers already. Why not have a guy who can talk really well has charisma and looks great in a suit. So maybe they could have a segment where Seth Ron [Rollins] said hey you really impressed me in there. What do you think about this. Or something like that," he wrote.
It will be interesting to see what plans the creative team has for the Rollins-Punk saga in the coming weeks.
