Triple H is the WWE CCO and is in charge of all creative decisions in the company. As such, he's also the one to determine the brackets for tournaments and more. In doing so, a nine-time WWE champion has been quietly brought back by him.
Asuka has been gone from WWE for more than a year. She was supposed to take part in the Queen of the Ring tournament last year, and had to be pulled from the bracket thanks to an injury. It had been revealed that she had been suffering from a knee injury for months at the time, and she was struggling to get to where she needed to be. Since then, she has gone through treatment and has been posting about her progress.
Now, Triple H brought her back quietly. With the Queen of the Ring tournament brackets finally announced tonight, it's been confirmed that she is going to be returning to the ring. She's supposed to be a part of the tournament and will be competing against Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, and Ivy Nile in the first round.
Should she win, she will go into the semi-finals.
