John Cena to ruin wrestling by helping 58-year-old icon beat Gunther immediately in WWE? Exploring the possibility

The reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena, is on a mission to ruin wrestling before he ends his in-ring career later this year. The Last Real Champion has been on fire since turning heel and capturing his record-breaking 17th world championship. Cena might stay true to his words and assist the 58-year-old icon beat the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther.

Experts and pundits feel that Gunther winning the World Heavyweight Championship was to set up Goldberg’s return. The Ring General would be Da Man’s final opponent, and the two may likely lock horns in a title affair at Night of Champions 2025.

John Cena will defend his championship against CM Punk at the Night of Champions 2025. In a shocking twist, the Last Real Champion could interfere in the rumored match between Gunther and Goldberg and cost the Ring General his title immediately, helping Da Man to seal the victory and ruin pro wrestling.

This potential twist could lay the groundwork for a career-ending match between Goldberg and Gunther at SummerSlam 2025, which would be a massive box office attraction.

While the angle suggested above might sound perfect, it is merely a speculation based on the current storyline progression, and nothing has been confirmed.

Veteran WWE analyst predicts Jey Uso could join a major Bloodline member soon

Before Jey Uso lost his title, senior professional wrestling journalist Bill Apter, in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, predicted a massive alliance featuring The Yeet Master in the equation.

Apter stated that since Jacob Fatu has now turned babyface, turning his back on Solo Sikoa and officially leaving Bloodline 2.0, the Samoan Werewolf could join forces with Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso on WWE SmackDown, which would also help him become an even bigger star.

"Something nobody's probably filled up, but now with Jacob Fatu as a babyface, as a good guy, maybe he will align himself with Jey Uso. Or with Jey and Jimmy Uso," Apter said.

It will be interesting to see how Gunther’s second reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion advances and whether he finally faces Goldberg next.
