WWE's landscape drastically changed when Triple H took over the creative duties. However, former writer Vince Russo said that The Game punished a major name for questioning his choices ahead of WrestleMania 41.
Last year, Chelsea Green made history as the inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion. She received praise universally, and it looked like she would get a promising run as the first-ever champion. However, the reign felt underwhelming, and she lost the title to Zelina Vega after she wasn't featured at WrestleMania 41.
Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show, Vince Russo said that Triple H might have punished Chelsea Green for questioning his creative choices when the title wasn't booked for WrestleMania 41. Moreover, Russo believes The Game punished Green by taking the title from her out of nowhere after she questioned his authority.
"So, I'm sure Chelsea asked some questions. I'm sure Chelsea may have had an issue with this. 'Triple H, how are you going to get over this belt that you introduced if it's not even defended at WrestleMania?' And I'm sure Chelsea Green asked the same question... Well, Tommy, like the typical WWE BS, the next thing we know, Chelsea Green is losing to Zelina Vega and dropping the title. So, this is the chief petty officer's [Triple H] way of punishing Chelsea Green... This was a title change because Triple H is petty, and Triple H had to establish once again who's the boss," Russo said. [From 02:06 to 03:37]

Over the past few years, Triple H's bookings have often raised a point or two from fans or veterans. However, Chelsea Green's booking took a drastic turn when she missed WrestleMania 41 and lost the title on SmackDown after 'Mania.
On the same podcast, Russo believes Green is talented and shouldn't waste her time under Triple H's creative leadership. The former writer suggested that the star should leave WWE and focus on a career as an actor, rather than the management's poor booking of her on the roster.
"Chelsea, get yourself an agent. Maybe an acting coach to sharpen your skills a little. You're bigger than the WWE. I know you love wrestling. They don't deserve your talent if they're going to treat you like this," Russo said.
It will be interesting to see what's next for Chelsea Green in World Wrestling Entertainment.
