A huge WWE name was missing on RAW. A replacement had to step in with Michael Cole instead.
Pat McAfee was present at WWE Money in the Bank and was a big part of the show. He was there covering whatever happened on the night. However, he was not present at the RAW commentar desk this Monday. The star was missing, and his place was filled in next to Michael Cole by Wade Barrett.
The SmackDown announcer stepped up again and worked tonight with Cole, filling in for the absent McAfee. He gave up his loyalties to the blue brand just for one night.
Michael Cole announced that McAfee was not going to be there in the opening segment.
There was very little elaboration as to why McAfee was missing, but it's expected that the star will be present on the show for next week's episode. If he does not appear next week, then it remains to be seen who will be filling in his spot again, and whether it will be Wade Barrett again.
It should be noted that Wade Barrett was also part of the three-man booth with Cole and McAfee at the WWE Money in the Bank event.
