Seth Rollins and his group made their presence felt on WWE SmackDown ahead of Money in the Bank this Saturday. However, Rollins might need Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on alert after receiving a threat for his actions nearly five years ago.
On Friday's episode in Bakersfield, California, Rollins confronted all of his opponents in the men's MITB ladder match except for El Grande Americano. Along with Reed and Breakker, Rollins went face-to-face with Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline.
The Visionary then led an attack on Penta and Andrade following their win over The Creed Brothers. He also hit LA Knight with the Curb Stomp during The Megastar's match against Aleister Black, who confronted Rollins and seemingly pointed to their history by subtly scratching just below his right eye before Breakker speared him.
In an Instagram post, Black sent a warning to Seth Rollins about the consequences of his actions. He alluded to Rollins being responsible for "blinding" his right eye on the July 27, 2020, episode of RAW.
"In the land of the blind.” Consequences//1," Black wrote.
For those who can't remember, Seth Rollins instructed Buddy Murphy to drive Aleister Black's right eye into the steel steps. After the incident, Black sold the injury even when he moved to AEW, and now, back in WWE. He's wearing a contact lens that makes his right eye appear blind.
In addition to their attacks on multiple WWE Superstars, Seth Rollins and his group were confronted by Cody Rhodes. Nothing physically significant happened, but Rollins was caught whispering something to Rhodes when Jey Uso was making his entrance.
Many fans were speculating about what The Visionary could have told The American Nightmare. Plenty of theories arose, from the possibility of a Rhodes heel turn to Cody becoming part of Seth's dominant stable.
Rollins and Rhodes have a rich history, dating back to the latter's first stint in WWE. They set aside their rivalry last year when Seth helped Cody finish his story at WrestleMania 40, putting an end to Roman Reigns' run as Undisputed WWE Champion.
