Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena appeared on the latest edition of SmackDown. However, a new update brings disappointing news regarding the legend's remaining dates on his Farewell Tour.
The Franchise Player is currently in the midst of his 36-date Retirement Tour that is slated to conclude in December 2025. After dethroning Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 41, John Cena secured big wins over Randy Orton at Backlash and R-Truth at Saturday Night's Main Event. Tonight, he is set to join forces with Logan Paul to face Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes in a tag team match at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in Los Angeles.
It was previously reported that The Cenation Leader had 22 dates remaining on his current wrestling schedule. After his appearance on last night's SmackDown, John Cena now has only 21 dates left before he steps away from in-ring competition.
For many WWE fans, this news is disappointing, as the clock is ticking on the illustrious in-ring career of The Last Real Champion.
On this week's SmackDown, The Cenation Leader and The Maverick came face-to-face with their upcoming tag team match opponents. John Cena left no stone unturned and heavily praised the 30-year-old star in the promo segment.
The Doctor of Thuganomics also called Logan Paul the future WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
"This is your future. I take this home. He takes that to the top. The last real champion and the Moment Maker, the One of One, the Inevitable, future face of the WWE. Bakersfield, humble yourselves for the humblest, the future World Heavyweight Champion, Logan Paul."
The duo of Cena and Paul brutalized Rhodes and Uso before this week's Friday Night SmackDown went off the air. Only time will tell if the heels defeat the babyfaces in the blockbuster tag team contest at MITB 2025.
