Roy Keane has hit out at England players after their 1-0 win over Andorra in the World Cup qualifier on Saturday (June 7). The former player said they looked disinterested after taking the lead.

Speaking on ITV, Keane claimed that the players got complacent after scoring the only goal of the game, as they believed it was job done. The Irishman said (via The Standard):

"My worry is, sometimes, when I see players getting bored. I felt like some of the players looked like they got bored in the last half an hour, and that's… I don't like to see that. It was when the goal went in, they went: 'Ah, it's job done.'

He added:

"You are up against Andorra, go and get some more goals. These players are here and they have to impress this manager - he is still new to the job - and you show that with your attitude. Go and get some more goals, especially the other attacking players. You can't keep looking at Kane. Kane is your main man for years, but the other attacking players have to say: 'I have to have an impact here.'"

Roy Keane continued:

"We try and make excuses for England a little bit. It's obviously the end of the season and it has been tough on the players. I thought the first half was okay, but I felt that when they scored the goal, they felt like it was job done. I am really disappointed with England's attitude after the goal went in. The manager can't be happy with that in the last half an hour or whatever. But overall, particularly the second half, the attitude of the players, I didn't think it was great."

Harry Kane scored the lone goal of the match in the 50th minute, as England eased to a 1-0 win at RCDE Stadium. The win saw Thomas Tuchel's side cement their place at the top of Group K in the World Cup qualifiers with three wins in as many games.

Thomas Tuchel unhappy with England players after Andorra win in World Cup qualifiers

Thomas Tuchel echoed Roy Keane's comments, saying he was not happy with the attitude of England players on the pitch. The German manager said they did well in the first 25 minutes but did not show the required 'seriousness' in the rest of the match. In a post-match press conference, Tuchel said (via Sky Sports):

"I didn't like the attitude how we ended the game, not the whole game, it's a big difference. I liked the attitude in the first 25 minutes, but I didn't like the last half an hour. We lacked the seriousness and urgency needed in a World Cup qualifier."

The Three Lions next face Senegal in a friendly at The City Ground in Nottinghamshire on Tuesday (June 10). For their next World Cup qualifier, England will host Andorra on September 6.
