Gunther has finally regained his World Heavyweight Championship by beating Jey Uso in the main event of Monday Night RAW. However, the Ring General's dreams could get shattered by a ghost of his past. Ilja Dragunov could make his much-awaited return next week and go on to become King of the Ring.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournament finals are set to take place in Saudi Arabia at the Night of Champions. The qualifying matches commenced tonight on RAW, where Sami Zayn won the men's Fatal 4-way by beating Penta, Dominik, and Bron Breakker.

Another Men's Fatal 4-way qualifying match is set for next week between Rusev, Bronson Reed, Sheamus, and a mystery opponent. The mystery opponent could be revealed to be the Unbeseigbar Ilja Dragunov. Ilja could win the Fatal 4-way and the next semi-final match to punch his ticket to Saudi.

At Night of Champions, Ilja could become the King of the Ring and immediately challenge the Ring General for his world title at SummerSlam. This could be a great way to re-ignite their rivalry from wXw and NXT UK. Ilja and the World Heavyweight Champion have a long history, as Ilja ended Gunther's 870-day reign as NXT UK Champion a few years ago.

This match has a lot of potential to elevate both superstars. Many fans had complained that Gunther didn't face some great challengers during his last reign as champion. This would be a great way to give the fans what they want.
