A major WWE tag team is reportedly sidelined with injuries, and that is why they have been absent from television. The New Day will be defending the World Tag Team Championship against The Judgment Day during tonight's edition of WWE RAW in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne (New Catch Republic) are both out of action due to injuries. New Catch Republic has not competed in a match since their victory over A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) on the May 26 edition of Main Event.
“I can give everybody a scoop. I believe both Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne are injured," said Alvarez. [H/T: Ringside News]
Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne have both had a ton of success in NXT but have not captured a title on the main roster so far. Dunne also used to be known as Butch in the now disbanded Brawling Brutes faction alongside Sheamus and Ridge Holland.
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on Liv Morgan's injury and stated that the company should keep her on television while she is out of action.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show, the veteran stated that Liv Morgan should remain on television while recovering from a separated shoulder.
Morgan suffered the injury earlier this month on RAW during a singles match against Kairi Sane. Russo stated that the company would be wasting an opportunity if Morgan were not featured on television while unable to compete in the ring.
"Bro, the biggest mistake they're gonna make is to leave Liv Morgan home," Russo said. "That's the biggest mistake they're gonna make. Now, I understand, I think she needs surgery. Bro, if she needs surgery, she needs to be home for a month. That's fine. But [WWE is wasting an opportunity] if she's out four months and you have her sitting at home for four months." [0:43 – 1:00]

Only time will tell when Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate return to WWE television down the line.
