Jey Uso is no longer the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Fans are now wondering why Triple H decided to take the title off him.

Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci has now revealed a possible reason behind the title change last night. On RAW after Money in the Bank, Jey Uso lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther in a rematch from WrestleMania 41.

While The Ring General is usually favored to win his matches, fans didn't expect to see The Yeet Master's reign cut short at just 51 days. Speaking on The Last Word podcast, Tommy Carlucci said the reason the company put the belt back on Gunther was because he carried himself like a champion.

Carlucci felt babyfaces chasing titles produced some compelling storylines, and he was hoping to see Jey Uso take a similar path.

"You know what? I think I’d like to see Jey chase him now again. I mean, it’s another storyline that they rehashed over and over. But I think Gunther really carries the belt really well, and I think that’s why they made that change." (H/T: TJRWrestling)

What's next for Jey Uso in WWE?

With wrestlers no longer entitled to automatic rematch clauses, Jey Uso will likely have to work his way up to get back into the title scene. Interestingly, there's a mystery spot available in the ongoing King of the Ring Tournament. The OG Bloodline member can insert himself into the qualifier and win the tournament to earn a title shot at SummerSlam this year.

As for Gunther, there's no word on who he will face at Night of Champions on June 28. Could a returning Goldberg show up next week to set up his retirement match? He has been training for his last hurrah. A match between the two behemoths could be on the cards for the Riyadh spectacle.
