WWE Superstar R-Truth sent a heartfelt message to the fans mere hours after his surprise return at last night's Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The beloved veteran credited the WWE Universe for helping him come back to the Stamford-based promotion.
Truth came back last night, under his real name, Ron Killings. The WWE Universe is still in disbelief over the big return, mere seven days after his tweet in which he announced his release.
Shortly after making a blockbuster return to WWE at Money in the Bank, R-Truth took to his official TikTok handle and sent an emotional message to the fans.
Here's what he wrote:
"I'm back because of yall."
Truth helped Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso pick up a massive win over John Cena and Logan Paul at Money in the Bank PLE. During the post-show press conference, The American Nightmare had the following to say about the veteran's surprise return:
"I will say, he asked the big question out of the gate, the truth is: you guys wanted Truth, and it's always our job, everybody 'up here,' everybody 'over here,' Triple H, Nick Khan, it's always our job to give you what you want, so, thank you guys for letting us know. Thank you, guys," Rhodes said. [H/T WrestlingInc.]
Truth recently engaged in a feud with John Cena, leading to a non-title match at Saturday Night's Main Event. The match ended with Cena hitting a low blow and an AA on Truth, and pinning him to pick up the win.
Truth went on to lose to The Bloodline's JC Mateo on an episode of SmackDown. He announced his WWE departure shortly after, leaving the WWE Universe enraged.
In a big twist, the outrage over Truth's release worked wonders and WWE had no choice but to bring him back at Money in the Bank.
