John Cena has hilariously been spotted breaking character on WWE television following his heel turn. The veteran captured the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41.
A wrestling fan on Instagram recently shared a hilarious post pointing out that Cena has been enjoying his final run with the company. The fan shared two screenshots of the 48-year-old cracking a smile as a heel, and you can check them out in the Instagram post below.
CM Punk confronted Cena last week on WWE RAW and then again this past Friday night on SmackDown. The Last Real Champion will be defending the title against The Second City Saint at Night of Champions on June 28 in Saudi Arabia.
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeated John Cena and Logan Paul in the main event of Money in the Bank. Ron Killings returned at the premium live event and leveled Cena with a Spear, and The American Nightmare capitalized on the interference to pick up the victory.
Cena and Killings are scheduled to square off in a singles match this Friday night on SmackDown.
Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently suggested that John Cena could lose the Undisputed WWE Championship to CM Punk at Night of Champions due to a major star interfering in the match.
Speaking on WrestleVotes Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Apter suggested that Ron Killings could interfere in the title match at the PLE and cost Cena the title.
"I think it has to be R-Truth and John Cena, no matter what the storyline, no matter what the angle is. Right now, their focus is on the match with CM Punk, promoting the Saudi Arabia thing. Somehow, they've got to have some interaction with Cena and Ron Killings during the weeks leading up to that and maybe Ron Killings interferes and cause Cena the title in Saudi Arabia," Apter said. It will be fascinating to see if CM Punk can capture the title from Cena later this month in Saudi Arabia.
