John Cena had a very hectic episode of WWE SmackDown on Friday the 13th. Not only was he assaulted twice, but he was also made to nearly tap out while CM Punk gave him a brutal message.

John Cena found himself in a tricky situation on the blue brand tonight as he was confronted by Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and LA Knight. As he walked away, he was attacked by Ron Killings, fka R-Truth. He had a heated discussion with Nick Aldis, and later in the show, even had a tense moment with Jimmy Uso as he was looking for R-Truth.

Instead, Cena got CM Punk when he called Ron Killings out and his legendary rival verbally decimated him on the mic. As Punk did the mic drop and walked away, Ron Killings attacked Cena again and put him in an STF, nearly making him tap out. Punk said, "The truth hurts" to Cena in a brutal response.

The truth did, in fact, hurt John Cena on the June 13, 2025, episode of SmackDown as nobody had it worse than he did. However, this was all to set up a collision course that's going to take place next week and the week after that.

While a Ron Killings rematch is next on the horizon, the final Punk vs. Cena match is set to happen in Saudi Arabia.

In response to Cena calling him a hypocrite, Punk said that he would follow the Undisputed WWE Champion to Mars if he had to.
