A popular WWE star pitched himself for the King of the Ring tournament tonight on RAW. The finals of the KOTR tourney will take place at Night of Champions on June 28, with the winner earning a title shot at SummerSlam in August.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced that the King of the Ring tournament will be starting on tonight's episode of the red brand with a Fatal Four-Way match between Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, Sami Zayn, and Penta.
Ivar of The War Raiders took to social media ahead of tonight's edition of WWE RAW to suggest himself for the King of the Ring tournament. He noted that he already had a crown, and you can check out the former champion's humorous message in the post below.
"King of the Ring you say...... I've already got a crown! Give me a shot to qualify!!!" wrote Ivar.
The War Raiders lost the World Tag Team Championship to The New Day at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods took a shot at Men's Money in the Bank winner Seth Rollins ahead of tonight's show.
RAW star Ivar recently shared that he would have enjoyed working with Paul Ellering as the manager of The War Raiders.
Ellering was the manager of The Authors of Pain but was released alongside the tag team earlier this year. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, the veteran shared that he would have liked to work with Paul Ellering while he was in the promotion.
"He was [in WWE when The War Raiders joined], but he was with AOP when we got here, so they were already together. That's why [an alliance never happened]. That would have been really cool. It would have been really cool, yeah." [From 02:21 – 02:44]

Ivar spent some time as a singles star last year while Erik was recovering from a neck injury. It will be interesting to see if the 41-year-old finds himself in the King of the Ring tournament in the weeks ahead on RAW.
