Highly-popular superstar admits she's feeling "relief" after shocking WWE release recently

A highly popular superstar was released from WWE not too long ago, and fans are still shocked, as she was a name who was getting pushed by Shawn Michaels in NXT. Despite this, she admitted to feeling relief upon her release.

That superstar is none other than the 24-year-old Cora Jade. Although she didn't reach the heights of her best friend, Roxanne Perez, she was an integral part of Shawn Michaels' NXT, which briefly had the best women's division in all of wrestling. Cora Jade was a part of the WWE budget cuts last month, along with many other names.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Cora Jade admitted to feeling relieved after her release from the sports entertainment giant last month:

"Amazing. It has its ups and downs, and nobody wants to lose their dream job, but it's such a relief, almost. Like the world is at my disposal to do what I want. I am going to continue wrestling, but whatever opportunities come after this, I'm really excited. I feel for the first time in a while, happy with the present and how life is right now." Cora Jade had to be taken off WWE TV in 2023 for a horrific medical emergency.

Cora Jade shocked WWE fans and everyone watching when she had a tell-all interview with Ariel Helwani. There, she revealed the details of a horrifying medical incident that could have resulted in a life-threatening situation or even death.

She summarized the story of having an ectopic pregnancy that had failed, leading to a near-death experience:

"Long story short, I'll spare you the details. I ended up in emergency surgery in the hospital the night before, literally almost dying and bleeding out because I had had an ectopic pregnancy that had failed, and it exploded and made me internally bleed," she said. (H/T F4WOnline)

Prior to this, she revealed that she was contemplating wrestling Lyra Valkyria, who she was scheduled to go up against in NXT. She believes that had she competed in that match, she likely would not have been alive.

In-ring deaths are a sensitive matter, and the most infamous example is that of the legendary Mitsuharu Misawa, who was paralyzed in the ring, and it ultimately led to his passing in 2009. Misawa is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers to ever live.

We can only express our support and relief about the fact that Cora Jade is still here today. WWE superstar or not, it feels all too irrelevant when there's something as serious as what she went through with the ectopic pregnancy.
