Former WWE champion is set to turn heel for the first time ever, according to Vince Russo (Exclusive)

WWE introduced two new titles for the women's division last year, adding the Women's United States and Intercontinental Titles to the mix. Former NXT Champion Lyra Valkyria won the Intercontinental Title tournament on January 13, 2025, episode of RAW to become the inaugural champion.

Valkyria held the title until the recent Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Her 145-day title reign ended when she was pinned by her idol-turned-rival, Becky Lynch, this past Saturday. Lyra attacked Lynch following the match, signaling that their feud is not yet over. On the latest episode of RAW, a returning Bayley attacked Becky, adding her to the mix as well.

Talking about the former Intercontinental Champion on Legion of RAW on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Vince Russo claimed that she's about to turn heel. Russo said that the introduction of Bayley into this storyline was intended to turn Lyra heel for the first time in her WWE career.

"Bayley's gonna attack Becky, Lyra is gonna have a problem with it. Now, Lyra is gonna attack Bayley, so now we've got Lyra set as a heel. The people want to boo Lyra, they want her to be a heel, so now we're going to make her a heel. That's exactly what they're doing here," Russo said. [From 42:04 onwards]

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were scheduled to face off against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at WrestleMania 41 before Becky Lynch took out Bayley. All three women share a history, and this storyline could lead to a potential Triple Threat clash between them for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title.
