Numerous formerly released superstars have returned to WWE over the last few years. However, Enzo Amore does not seem keen on getting added to the list.

Enzo was a member of the global juggernaut for nearly six years. While he was a part of the tag team division with Big Cass for the majority of the time, the 38-year-old also had a brief singles run and even won the Cruiserweight Championship. He was fired from the company in 2018, after which he took some time off before returning to the Independent Circuit.

During a recent interview with Tim Rivera, Amore noted that he has no interest in returning to WWE. The former champion then boasted about working for Fourth Rope and Westside Gunn.

“I don’t need to do this sh*t again. If God puts it in my, you know, future—like, I didn’t say I would take it. Right now I got this, okay? I work for f****** Fourth Rope, bro. I work for Westside Gunn, okay? I got my s*** straight. Like, my s*** is tight, bro. Like, we doing all right.” [From 7:23 to 7:45]

Enzo Amore reflected upon his run in WWE NXT

Enzo Amore signed with WWE in 2012 despite having no prior wrestling experience. The 38-year-old was assigned to NXT, where he eventually formed a tag team with Big Cass. The duo was very popular among fans and used to receive some of the loudest pops.

During the same interview, Enzo reflected upon his NXT days, noting that The Shield trio was already there when he walked through the door of WWE's third brand.

“I walk through the f****** door, you got Roman Reigns, The Shield, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins, right? They’re staring me right in the face. Kevin Owens comes into the place after me and Cass had already became babyfaces. You got Sami Zayn, who was El Generico before he came in. You got PAC, who became Neville when he came in. Enzo and Cass are already a tag team and we were the guys that came together in NXT, that were taught by WWE how to put on the product they wanted to see on the screen. And I saw a lot of people come and go.” [From 6:44 to 7:18]

Enzo took a break for a few months after getting released from the global juggernaut in 2018. However, the former Cruiserweight Champion returned to the squared circle in 2019. He attended the Survivor Series event in 2018 after getting fired, where he stood on his seat, causing a disruption, and was eventually removed from the venue by security.
