Charlotte Flair dropped a subtle message on social media after a short cameo on last night's WWE SmackDown. Flair seemingly took a shot at the company following a major announcement.

On the June 6 edition of SmackDown in Bakersfield, California, The Queen briefly appeared backstage in a segment with Jade Cargill. The two superstars announced their participation in the upcoming Queen of the Ring Tournament, representing the blue brand.

Following her 20-second segment, which also featured Cargill, Byron Saxton, and Tiffany Stratton, she responded to a fan on X. The fan was wondering what was on catering in Bakersfield, and Charlotte Flair shared the menu.

"This week? Salt and pepper chicken," Flair wrote.

It's worth mentioning that Charlotte Flair returned to in-ring action following a serious knee injury at the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble, which she won. She has had four televised matches since then and has mostly been featured in promo segments and backstage interviews.

Maybe there was a small disappointment in the tone of Flair's answer, alluding to being on catering for the majority of the show. There have been teases about a story with Alexa Bliss, while the seeds to a possible physical confrontation with Jade Cargill have already been planted.

As mentioned above, Charlotte Flair's quick cameo on SmackDown was to announce her participation in the 2025 Queen of the Ring Tournament. The new format was announced by RAW and SmackDown GMs Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, respectively, last night.

There will be four Fatal Four-Way Matches in the first round of the tournament, two from RAW and two from SmackDown. The winners advance to an inter-brand matchup in the semifinals, with the final set to be held at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 28.

The 2025 Queen of the Ring will challenge her brand's women's champion at SummerSlam. More participants are expected to be announced in the next few days.
