Doja Cat is trending online for a viral video where she is seen interacting with one of her fans. According to Pedestrian TV, the fan identified as Pablo Tamayao, is a social media influencer, active on Instagram with over 28K followers.
Pablo himself posted the clip of his meeting with Doja earlier this month on June 8 through Instagram, where he announced on camera that he was gifting his shirt to the rapper. Tamyao was then heard saying on camera:
“If you ever want anything more, I got you, always.”
The duo even hugged each other and shared a kiss towards the end, alongside jumping a few times with smiles on their faces. Notably, Pablo has been promoting his new shirt line for some time and wrote in one of his social media posts on June 6 that it was his collaboration with a company called Melimayy.
However, the situation took a different turn when Doja Cat responded to the interaction with two now-deleted posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, June 13. The Kiss Me More star wrote in one of them that she had thrown away the shirt. In another post, Doja said that no one was allowed to touch her even if she smiled at them.
“I honestly think I need to stand up for myself in the moment sometimes. And he didn’t even know my fu*kin name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy,” the singer said.
Netizens took to the comments section of a post covering the same shared by @NATERERUN on X to share their reactions to it. One of the users seemingly criticized Doja Cat by writing:
“FAKE to your FACE – Took a human moment and turned it inhumane.”
Many X users were spotted reacting to Doja’s tweet, with one of them calling her funny, and another describing the artist as fake.
“She’s so funny lol,” an X user wrote on X.
“She is so weird,” a netizen stated.
“That tells how fake she is,” an X reaction mentioned.
Among other replies, a few people also supported Doja Cat. One X user wrote that she was not wrong in the way she responded to the interaction.
“She’s not wrong. It was a cute interaction until he started grabbing her shoulders!! My poor Libra sun baby I understand,” one of the reactions reads.
“I feel bad for everyone in this situation. Everyone’s intentions just weren’t clear & boundaries ended up being broken,” another netizen commented on X.
“She’s totally valid, but honestly, based just on the video, you’d never guess she felt like that,” an X user reacted.
Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, has an album in her upcoming lineup, titled Vie. Although a release date of the project is not confirmed, the 29-year-old shared a list of tracks through her Instagram handle on April 13, 2025, as per Billboard.
While the post has been deleted now, the list had 16 singles such as Break My Heart, Slow Burn, Did I Lie, and more. Doja Cat also wrote in the caption:
“Don’t ask me where crack is rn.”
Back in May this year, Amala also appeared at the Met Gala and spoke about her outfit to the co-hosts of Vogue livestream, Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim. At one point, Nwodim questioned Doja about her album, and the latter said in response:
“With the campaign that we’re doing together, we put one of the singles behind the visual for it. And it’s called ‘Jealous Type.’ So if you watch that, it’s in there.”
Doja Cat’s last major project was Scarlet, which came out back in 2023, and reached on top of the US Billboard 200 and other charts.
