Barcelona are preparing to upgrade their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Hansi Flick enjoyed a great debut season at Camp Nou, winning the domestic treble, but remains on the market for improvements.

Meanwhile, the Catalans are not the only club eyeing a move for Nico Williams this summer. Elsewhere, the LaLiga champions are to ready to listen to offers for Ronald Araujo.

On that note, let's look at the major Barcelona transfer stories from June 15, 2025.

Barcelona will face competition from Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Chelsea in the race to sign Nico Williams this summer, according to SPORT. Recent reports have suggested that the Spanish forward wants to move to Camp Nou and his agent has already held talks with the Catalans.

The LaLiga champions are in the market for a new left forward and have had their eyes on Williams for quite some time. However, Barcelona are not alone in the race for the 22-year-old.

Williams has earned admirers at multiple clubs across Europe after some fine performances for Athletic Bilbao. The Spaniard finished the 2024/25 campaign with 11 goals and seven assists from 45 games for the Basque club.

Bayern Munich are showing the most interest in the player and have also held talks with his entourage. The Bavarians want to add more firepower to their frontline and have identified Williams as an option.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are looking to improve their squad after faltering in the title race once again and have the Spaniard on their agenda. Chelsea also have their eyes on Williams as they look to upgrade their attack.

Interestingly, the player has a €62m release clause, which could pose a problem for the Catalans. However, the Premier League duo and the Bundesliga giants are ready to trigger that option.

Catalans open to Ronald Araujo exit

Barcelona are willing to offload Ronald Araujo this summer, according to Diario Sport. The Uruguayan defender signed a new deal with the Catalans earlier this year, but that has done little to end speculation regarding his future.

Araujo has been linked with an exit from Camp Nou for a while, and he is no longer indispensable under Hansi Flick. The 26-year-old registered 25 appearances for the LaLiga champions this season after missing the first half of the campaign with a hamstring injury. Barcelona, interestingly, still need a big sale this summer to adjust their finances and are ready to cash in on Araujo.

Girona eyeing Pau Victor

Girona are ready to bring Pau Victor back to the Estadi Montilivi, according to SPORT. The 23-year-old rose through the ranks at the club, before making the move to Barcelona in 2023 on loan.

Victor was so impressive with the youth side that his move was made permanent last year and he was promoted to the senior team. However, with the indomitable Robert Lewandowski ahead of him in the pecking order, the Spaniard has struggled for chances under Hansi Flick.

Victor registered two goals from 29 games last season, but only two of them were starts. Girona are planning to take him back, and the LaLiga champions could opt for a loan deal or a permanent move with a buyback clause.
