Cristiano Ronaldo was expectedly a happy man for his contribution in Portugal's triumphant UEFA Nations League final win over Spain on Sunday at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

La Roja led 2-1 at the break, but Ronaldo's 61st-minute strike hauled his team back on level terms. The tie eventually went to penalties - where Roberto Martinez's side won 5-3 - with their captain having been substituted in normal time.

“I liked my performance a lot, as well as that of the team. My job is to help my team with goals, but also defending, creating spaces,” Ronaldo told UEFA. "I’m feeling satisfied because I feel I had a very good (UEFA) Nations League campaign—but the most important thing was the team.”
"It brings (me) great joy,” Ronaldo said about the triumph. "Winning with the national team is always something very special, especially in front of our fans, our country, our family and our children."

The Al-Nassr striker had a productive Nations League campaign, bagging eight goals and one assist in nine games, scoring in three straight games, including the final.
